Ang Boac Cathedral ay naging isang mahalagang bahagi ng makulay na kasaysayan at kultura ng Marinduque\u00f1o mula nang itayo ito noong panahon ng Kastila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ginamit ito ng mga lokal bilang taguan sa panahon ng pag-atake ng Moro noong 1800s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dahil dito, ito rin ang nagsilbing lugar ng pagbabasbas ng Philippine Revolutionary flag noong 1899.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pagpasok sa simbahan, makikita mo ang magagandang carvings sa mga pinto at dingding na gawa sa red brick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hango sa Hispanic Gothic architecture ang interior at ceiling ng cathedral na nagpapakita ng simple ngunit eleganteng mga ukit. Dahil sa kahalagahan nito sa kultura at kasaysayan, ito ay itinuturing na isa sa mga must see tourist spots ng Mariduque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Binubuo ng adobe stone at rough terra cotta ang loob nito at bell tower.
