Idineklara ng National Historical Institute ang site na ito bilang National Cultural Treasure noong ika-29 ng Oktubre 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tulad ng alamat, na ang simbahan ng Daraga ay itinayo ng mga dalaga o Daraga ay ang karaniwang paniniwalang itinayo ito pagkatapos at dahil sa pagputok ng Bulkang Mayon na nagbaon sa bayan ng Cagsawa noong 1814.
