Pinarangalan at binigyang pagkilala ng Palawan Liberation Task Force (PLTF) ang labinlimang (15) World War II (WWII) veterans sa lalawigan ng Palawan na ginanap sa VJR Hall ng kapitolyo bilang bahagi ng 79th<\/sup> Palawan Liberation Anniversary na may temang \u201cCelebrating 79 Years of Valor: Palawan\u2019s Heroic Stride Towards Freedom\u201d noong ika-23 ng Abril 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sa pangunguna ni Rey Felix Rafols, Palawan Tourism Council (PTC) President at PLTF Co-Chair ay naging matagumpay ang dalawang araw na selebrasyon. Kasama sa nagtulungan upang maisakatuparan ang aktibidad ay si Chief of Staff Ceasar Sammy Magbanua, Provincial Government of Palawan\/PTLF Executive Chairman, City Government of Puerto Princesa, PTC, Rajah Travel Corporation, Department of Tourism, Department of National Defense, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Civil Aviation Administration of the Philippines, at Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kabilang sa mga kinilalang Philippine Posthumous Veteran Honorees sa lalawigan ang mga sumusunod: SGt Basilio B. Bu\u00f1ag; SGt Leon A. Tapalla; SGt Lorenzo Z. Abiog; Cpl Atanacio A. Tapalla; at iba pa. Tinanggap ng mga pamilya at kamag-anak ng mga beterano ang mga parangal na may pagmamalaki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Layunin ng pagkilalang ito na bigyang pagpupugay at halaga ang mga sakripisyo at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga beterano ng digmaan na lumaban para sa kalayaan ng Palawan mula sa mga mananakop noong World War II (WWII).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay hindi lamang nagbibigay-pugay sa ating mayamang kasaysayan kundi nagpapalakas din sa mga samahan na nagbubuklod sa atin bilang mga mamamayan. Mahalaga na ipagpatuloy natin ang ganitong mga dakilang gawain ng pag-alaala at pagdiriwang sa mga taon na darating sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong aktibidad.
